Surf Lifesaving Season

And that's a wrap for Surf Lifesaving 2019-2020 Season

A diligent, resilient group of students competed for their respective clubs:  Mt Maunganui, Omanu and Papamoa Surf Lifesaving Club in either Oceans 2020 at the Mount or in Gisborne for the National Surf Lifesaving Event.

We congratulate:  Lulu Johnson for her U16 National Title: Gold Medal in the 2km Beach Run and Zac Reeder U16 Bronze medal in the Run-Swim-Run.

This alongside a range of medals in team events such as:  Tube Rescue, Board Rescue, Board Relay, Surf Teams Race and Taplin.

We commend and congratulate all our athletes and Lifeguards that competed.  Even though you may not have gained medals, your commitment to training, turning up to races and meeting your own personal goals was noted.  All the best for next year.

Level 1 Business Rotorua Trip

On Thursday 5th March, 25 Level 1 Business students and two teachers travelled to Rotorua to visit two tourist attractions, Zorb and Skyline.

The purpose of the trip was to listen to the part-owner and marketing manager respectively of each business, discuss how they market their business to their target markets. The students were able to ask questions to develop their understanding of marketing further.

On their return to the classroom, students will take what they have learned from their trip in completing their Marketing Mix assessments. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time out of the classroom to experience two different businesses first hand, which included rides in a Zorb and on the luge.
